1 Cup of Masoor Dhal 2 Cups of Water 3 cloves of garlic 1 Teaspoon of Tumeric 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds 1 Teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds 4 Curry Leaves 1 Green Chili 1 diced Onion 1/4 Cup Coconut Milk Oil or Ghee Salt +Pepper |
HOW!
Boil the dhal with salt + pepper and turmeric until just cooked. This should take around 15 minutes! Add the coconut milk and simmer for 2 minutes. Remove the dhal from the heat and leave to rest. Heat a pan with with oil, add the mustard seeds, when the seeds pop, add cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and sauté for 1 minute. Add the curry leaves, chilies, garlic and onions to the pan. Once the onion becomes clear, add the mix to the cooked Dhal and simmer for 3 minutes. -Plate with rice and veges and enjoy! |
